Using a 1911 Government Model, chambered in a .45ACP, we engrave this fine American-made pistol with scrollwork and banners on the slide that remind us of recent key court cases that have helped ensure the continuing protection of our Second Amendment rights. You will find the Second Amendment Foundation logo on both sides of the slide. On the left side of the slide, you will find an American Bald Eagle holding a banner that declares “The Second Amendment protects the rights of individuals to keep and bear their own firearms.” The two court cases, U.S. vs. Emerson and District of Columbia vs. Heller were landmark decisions that “…guarantee an individual’s right to possess a firearm unconnected with service in a militia, and to use that arm for traditionally lawful purposes, such as self-defense within the home.”
On the right side of the slide, you will find an American Bald Eagle holding a banner that states “The right to keep and bear arms shall not be infringed.” The court case, McDonald vs. Chicago, overturned Chicago’s ban on handguns. The Supreme Court decision stated that “The Second Amendment right to keep and bear arms for self-defense in one’s home is fully applicable to the states through the Fourteenth Amendment.”
The top of the slide is exquisitely engraved with “Second Amendment Foundation” and two American flags, one on each side and the Lady Justice, blindfolded, with the scales in hand.
The imitation ivory grips are beautifully engraved with the Second Amendment Foundation logo and a banner stating “Know Your Rights” on the right grip. The left side features the name of your state and the edition number.
This limited edition will be limited to only 100 numbered guns per state. Each pistol comes with an oak display case, which is etched to match the state and number of the pistol.
