A report from Arizona about a female Tesla driver who was the victim of a physical attack and has subsequently signed up for a “gun safety class” is raising eyebrows all the way to the Pacific Northwest, where vandals are also targeting the vehicles as a way of protesting against Elon Musk.
According to KTKA News, a woman identified only as “Susan” was accosted in an incident in the Flagstaff area. The suspect was identified and cited.
A second woman said her Tesla was targeted and she received a threatening telephone call.
“Both Tesla owners targeted have recently signed up for a gun safety course at Timberline Firearms, north of Flagstaff,” Arizona Family reported.
Violent attacks on people simply because of the vehicle they drive appear to be on the rise.
Yahoo News is reporting about a “A mother driving a Tesla was verbally attacked and threatened during a road rage incident, leaving her shaken and fearful of driving her car” in the Seattle area.
Washington and Arizona have more than just Tesla-hating vandals in common. They both also share an identical “right-to-bear-arms” provision in their respective state constitutions. Gun rights are not under attack in Arizona nearly as much as they are in Washington, however. Still, some 700,000 active concealed pistol licenses are in circulation in the Evergreen State.
In a separate report, KTKA reported on the widespread Tesla protests against Musk’s leadership at the Trump administration’s Department of Government Efficiency (DOGE), which has been identifying massive government fraud and waste, according to Trump supporters.
However, the revelation that at least some victims of these protests are considering arming themselves elevates the potential for a violent confrontation.
