Tens of thousands of firearms industry professionals are gathered this week in Las Vegas for the annual Shooting, Hunting and Outdoor Trade (SHOT) Show, sponsored by the National Shooting Sports Foundation.
It’s the biggest firearms industry trade show in the world, and there is news galore from gun makers, accessory companies, ammunition manufacturers and more coming every day.
TGM is paying attention to the new product announcements, and here are just some of the new products being introduced during this week’s show.
Franchi Unveils Bolt-Action ‘Momentum Elite’ Rifle

Franchi entered the bolt-action rifle market with the introduction of the Momentum in 2018.
The latest evolution of this platform, according to Franchi, includes an updated look and premium features for enhanced performance. Franchi brings its rich heritage of Italian craftsmanship and innovation with the introduction of the Momentum Elite.
The Momentum Elite boasts hunting-centric colors, each featuring a complimentary Cerakote finish on the barrel and receiver for protection from the elements. Rifle stock color options are Hunter Gray, new Realtree EXCAPE and Strata by TrueTimber. The threaded barrel is topped with a one-piece Picatinny top rail and fitted with a cerekoted muzzle break. A detachable magazine offers quick and easy reloading.
The Momentum Elite rifle shares the original Momentum’s revolutionary stock. The stock combines raised curves and crisp checkering at strategic places along the rifle, delivering an enhanced ergonomic feel and positive hold in the five most commonly used shooting positions. Sling-attachment points are recessed on the stock, eliminating the need for intrusive swivel studs. At the butt, Franchi’s popular TSA recoil pad absorbs up to 50 percent of the rifle’s felt recoil with integrated contours to offer more comfortable benchrest shooting positions.
The rifle’s one-piece bolt is spiral fluted and features three locking lugs for solid lockup to deliver increased accuracy. The cerekoted bolt handle has a short, 60-degree throw for faster cycling and is easy to disassemble when cleaning. The Momentum features a two-position safety, which allows the bolt to be operated when the rifle has been made safe and a crisp, single-stage trigger than can be adjusted from 2 to 4 pounds.
The Momentum Elite will debut in 6,5 Creedmoor, .308 Win. and .223 Rem. all perfect calibers for target shooting, hunting and predator control.

The new T-Series tactical sights from Steiner® are tough, compact optics especially suited for AR platforms. Sierra Announces New Cartridges in GameChanger Lineup

Sierra® Ammunition has introduced two new cartridges in the premium GameChanger™ line up.
The new .300 AAC Blackout and .223 Rem. offerings blend match-grade accuracy and deadly terminal performance for the shot of a lifetime.
The GameChanger line is the result of more than 70 years of designing world-class bullets. Each GameChanger round utilizes a Sierra Tipped GameKing® bullet providing initial expansion to a very heavily constructed hunting bullet plus long-range velocity and energy retention.
The .300 AAC Blackout features a 125-grain Tipped GameKing bullet configured on a 7.62x35mm casing and is a solid choice for hunting coyotes, hogs and deer. It has a reported muzzle velocity of 2,115 fps.
The new .223 Rem. cartridge delivers a perfect round for hunting varmint and deer. It features a 64-grain Tipped GameKing bullet that clocks at 3,015 fps from the muzzle, according to Sierra.

All the firearms included in this new product launch are designed from the ground up to bring unparalleled versatility and utility to not only Henry’s line of rifles and shotguns, but the lever action platform in general. All five models are now available nationwide.

The X Model series consists of the Big Boy platform, chambered in .44 Mag/.44 Spl, .357 Mag./.38 Spl, and .45 Colt, a lever action .410 shotgun, and another rifle chambered in .45-70 Government.

All five models sport durable and lightweight synthetic furniture with a solid rubber recoil pad on the pistol-gripped buttstock, Picatinny and M-Lok accessory slots on the forestock, and integrated sling swivel studs. The matte blued steel receivers utilize a side loading gate to keep the removable tube magazine loaded and they are all drilled and tapped to accept an optics mount. The rifles are all threaded at the muzzle end with a 5/8×24 thread pitch to accommodate a suppressor or other muzzle device. The shotgun’s smooth bore barrel is threaded internally for a removable invector style choke and contrasting fiber optic sights adorn all of the X Models with the .410 shotgun variation using only a front sight.
