Sturm, Ruger’s newest addition to the popular Wrangler single-action rimfire revolver family wears an impressive 7 ½-inch barrel and is offered in three Cerakote finishes, black, silver and burnt bronze.
All three feature checkered synthetic grips on the Single-Six pattern, Ruger’s transfer bar mechanism and loading gate interlock, cold hammer-forged steel barrels with ultra-precise rifling, blade front sights, traditional groove/notch rear sights, six-shot cylinder and overall length of 13 inches.
The new long-barreled sixgun weighs 34.1 ounces, regardless of finish.
But wait, there’s more!
In addition to the 7.5-inch model, Ruger has also introduced Wrangler models with 6 ½-inch and 3 ½-inch barrels. The mechanics, materials and finishes are the same, but the barrel lengths are different.
All barrels are cut with 1:14-inch rifling on a right-hand twist.
Overall length on the short model is 9.3 inches and it weighs 26.1 ounces, while on the 6 ½-inch version, the overall length is 12 inches and the weight is 32.1 ounces.
Frame material on all of these sixguns is aluminum alloy.
