The latest version of Ruger’s LCP semi-auto pistol is the MAX, featuring a stainless steel slide with polished sides which provide a stunning contrast to the black glass-filled nylon grip frame.
This .380 ACP pistol features the standard 10-round magazine with flush floorplate, tritium front sight with a drift-adjustable U-notch rear sight. The magazine release is reversible, and this little pocket pistol hits the scale at 10.6 ounces. A 12-round magazine is available as an aftermarket option at ShopRuger.com.
The LCP MAX utilizes Ruger’s proven Secure Action fire control system, combining a protected internal hammer with a bladed-safety trigger.
According to Ruger’s specifications, the 2.8-inch alloy steel barrel has a black oxide finish, and the pistol has an overall length of just 5.17 inches, and slide width of 0.81 inch, making it perfect for concealed carry. The barrel is cut with six lands and grooves on a 1:16-inch right-hand twist.
According to Ruger, the MSRP is $379.00.
The downside is that this pistol is not available in California or Massachusetts.
