Reason magazine is reporting it will host an online live discussion about the “current state of gun rights,” this Thursday at 1 p.m. Eastern/10 a.m. Pacific on YouTube and Facebook.
According to Reason’s announcement, the program will try to address such questions as whether gun rights are growing or shrinking “in Joe Biden’s America,” so-called “gun violence” and other subjects, including defensive gun uses. There will likely be several references to last June’s Supreme Court ruling in the case of New York State Rifle & Pistol Association v. Bruen, which struck down New York State’s century-old concealed carry gun control law as unconstitutional.
Reason’s Nick Gillespie will be joined by Amy Swearer, a legal fellow at The Heritage Foundation, and Reason’s Jacob Sullum. Swearer is widely known for challenging gun control dogma and she is author of The Essential Second Amendment.
