Sometimes the deplorables overcome all adversities
Dear Editor:
Re: Deplorables…… weren’t 1775 Patriots also called “DEPLORABLES?”
Dave Workman in TGM Dec. 2016 spoke to us about the year of living “Deplorably” as noted to us by Hillary.
Never forget that King George III spoke of the 1775 Patriots as being same, as well as Hirohito, Hitler and Mussolini during WW2 seeing a crippled FDR and an economy so destroyed by FDR they had no fear of the USA. As the news media kept hidden just how sick FDR was, it was thought by our enemies that the media would also keep secret from the people, just how weak the USA was and the many battles they would win.
That’s deplorable!
Oh, and taxes paid by commercial entities like “gun shops” are absolutely “public record,” even those taxes unconstitutionally paid by Citizens to exercise a right…. RKBA.
Abortion, homosexual marriage and entitlements to illegals are all federally protected rights against any state action, but not the Second Amendment which can be strictly infringed by states.
States can’t tax abortion, marriage and entitlements, but can tax the RKBA!
Now that’s really deplorable….calling Hillary!

Hits lack of coveragefor Libertarian candidate
Dear Editor:
I must express my disappointment that your magazine, like so many other pro-Second Amendment groups, has chosen to give Libertarian presidential candidate Gary Johnson the “silent treatment.”
Why?
The Libertarian Party is now and always has been 100% pro-Second Amendment!
I know the NRA is too cozy with the Republican Party. Don’t tell me you are as well.
All gunowners and pro-freedom people should be supporting the Libertarian Party nationwide and its candidates for all offices, federal to local The Libertarian Party website is:LP.org. Contact them today.
Sincerely,

EDITOR’S REPLY: Mr. Richard’s letter was written before the Nov. 8 election, but after we went to press for the December issue.
Mr. Richards expresses a frustration that besets many people who support the Libertarian Party or some other third party challenge to the political process dominated by the Democrats and Republicans. It was not our intention to ignore the principles articulated by the Libertarian Party, or the Greens, or any other third party aspirant to high office.
However, there are some realities which we have come to understand over many years of involvement in US presidential campaigns.
Like it or not, we are stuck with a two party system. The Democrats and Republicans have contrived to make third party candidates irrelevant. In some states, the names of the Libertarian, Green or other parties cannot legally appear on the ballot. In others, the structure is such that third parties have to waste what few dollars they can raise just to get on the ballot.
Like it or not, third party candidates don’t have a chance. They get little exposure through the general media, they get excluded from major debate forums, and they don’t have the kind of money required for a serious national advertising campaign.
Minor party candidates, such as Gary Johnson and William Weld, are not celebrities, nor do the general media give them the coverage that builds credibility and big name public exposure.
The TGM staff is well aware of the Libertarian Party’s support not only for the Second Amendment but the whole Constitution, but the party is still not big enough to garner widespread public support at the ballot box. I’m sure that Johnson and Weld deserve better than they got, not just from TGM, but from all the media, but that’s a fact of political life in the United States as it now stands.
Those who think otherwise are still able to vote for any candidate they believe best represents them, but unfortunately, especially in the 2016 election, the danger of electing the wrong person was too frightening.
