‘Red flag” laws violate the US Constitution
Dear Editor:
In reference to recent articles about “Red Flag laws.”
Such laws being introduced and passed in some states and the new Democrat/communist controlled US House are for starters in direct violation of the US Constitution’s Bill of Rights. They violate the First, Second and Fourteenth Amendments as they are completely absent of Due Process of law. They are nothing more than a deliberate act of citizen intimidation, a legal trap of unabridged deceit, totalitarianism and tyranny.
Currently, the entire body of clowns in the Democrat/communist Circus running for president in 2020 openly advocate dictatorial rule by presidential fiat, the Constitution be damned.
As in Marbury vs. Madison, Feb.24, 1803…” a legislative act contrary to the Constitution is not law.”
John Adams in the Massachusetts courts of 1780 was quite precise when he said that judges must indeed by “as free, impartial and independent as the lot of human will admits” in order for a true Constitutional democracy to endure.
Federal judges are appointed by the office of the US president whom the people elect. The message of who we elect and place in the Oval Office should be quite clear.

Let’s honor the heroes not politicize tragedies
Dear Editor:
We seem to forget the heroes who step up to deter mass killing sprees and remember the villainous shooters and quickly politicize the event, usually to promote the gun control agenda.
Rahm Emanuel one said “Don’t let a tragedy go to waste,” advice many Democrat politicians seem to take to their bully pulpits.
But we seem to soon forget the heroic individuals who step up to confront the crazed, publicity-seeking shooters.
Let’s not forget the good Samaritans who gamble with their own lives in dire circumstances. Two of those heroes recently gave their lives to thwart the evil intentions of those with murderous intent.
Let’s always honor and remember Lori Gilbert-Kaye, 60, and Kendrick Castillo, 18.
After a classmate pulled out a gun in class, Kendrick Castillo couldn’t just stay still; he was surrounded by the friends he considered family and they were all in danger. Kendrick died when he lunged at the shooter, giving other students at STEM School Highlands Ranch in Colorado enough time to hide, his family and a classmate said.
Gilbert-Kaye was the woman killed in the recent San Diego, CA, synagogue shooting when she stepped in front of the bullets aimed at her longtime friend and rabbi as he raced to evacuate children from the threat of violence.
She died at Chabad of Poway when a nursing student who apparently espoused anti-Semitic beliefs opened fire. Rabbi Yisroel Goldstein, Kaye’s friend of 30 years, suffered defensive wounds to his hands but survived the attack.
Let’s remember them and focus on the real causes for such publicity-seeking murders.
Sincerely,
Howard Falk
