Urges same age solution for guns, booze, service
Dear Editor:
Mention was made several times in the April issue of The Gun Mag of the various ideas for the proper age to be able to purchase a firearm.
I previously wrote President Trump that whatever age is chosen, it should be the-some age for all things allowing adult behavior. Be it buying beer, getting a driver’s license, a marriage license, buying any firearm, or being of age to be drafted and called to go to war for our country. None of those should be any more or any less important when choosing the proper age.
Anyone should be able to see the inconsistency in having the age to buy booze, or of the age to buy a firearm at 21, when the draft age is 18. Duh?
What are the people asking for the age to be 21 thinking? Old enough to die for our country, but not old enough to drink or own a firearm!
Personally I don’t care what age is chosen, I’m of an age where it doesn’t matter anymore. But make it one age for everything. A person is either an adult, or he/she isn’t.
Oh, by the way, what is the correct email address for The Gun Mag. I’ve tried every combination I can think of, using the address given in the latest edition: “www.thegunmag.com,” “safsubs@yahoo.com.” I’ve even done a search online for the email address for The Gun Mag, and didn’t find anything that would work.

EDITOR’S REPLY: TheGunMag.com is the online address for our website. The proper email address for general communications and Letters to the Editor is: safsubs@yahoo.com.
Episcopalians support campaign to ban AR 15s
Dear Editor:
I found this article in a publication (Episcopal Journal) at my doctor’s office.
(The article reports on the support of Episcopal bishops, schools, churches and parishioners supporting the “student-led” campaign to ban so-called assault weapons.)
There was a time I remember when most or all churches were strongly anti-socialist and very anti-communist
Today, all has changed: most churches for some unknown reason stand with and favor socialist, communist and all manner of leftist movements, including the people’s right to keep and bear arms.
I fear for America as the colleges and universities are brainwashing the kids, silencing the opposition and are creating the foundation for a revolution in the US and once and for all eradicate the Constitution, allowing the government to take over the welfare of all citizens and the government control of industry under the guise of the environment.
God bless America.

There’s no mistaking intentions of anti-gunners
Dear Editor:
Concerning recent developments on the gun control front, the following comes to mind.
Long ago, the anti-gunners told us of their ultimate goals, and they have many times repeated themselves. Their ultimate and unchanging goal is the destruction of gun rights as we know them, the doing away with the concept, the fact of the private ownership and use of firearms.
For reasons that escape my understanding, many gun owners have seemingly failed to grasp the obvious. Seems to me that quite recent and ongoing events should have served to eliminate any question there might have been.
Will gun owners now “wake up and smell the coffee” is a question that remains unanswered. It is a question that the actions or inaction of gun owners will ultimately answer.
One hopes that the answer will come in clear, unmistakable language and action from the multi-millions gun of owners in this country. Only time will tell though, and the clock ticks on!
