GrovTec GT Backpack Slings
The GT Backpack sling offers versatile options to hunters for safe-carry of rifles and shotguns when trekking through the woods or riding to hunt locations on ATV/UTV’s. By slinging the firearm safely across the middle of the hunter’s back similar to a backpack, this comfortable, shock-absorbing GrovTec sling evenly distributes firearms weight and prevents slipping off shoulders, allowing hunters to carry their trusty hunting gun safely and securely. The Backpack Slings combines two GT padded slings, which absorb shock without the rebound that some other slings possess. Featuring a tapered design, the width of the sling at the load-carrying position spreads weight evenly, and the design offers integrated thumb loops, relieving tension on hands and forearms as well as offering a stabilizing platform for the firearm when ready to shoot. The sling also incorporates a long-lasting, non-skid material that holds just enough to keep the firearm in place without inhibiting a hunter’s ability to quickly shoulder the rifle or shotgun. Also available in standard nylon web, all GT Backpack slings include sewn-in GT locking swivels that resist the strain of over 350 pounds of tension and are known for outstanding engineering and unsurpassed durability. All parts are made and manufactured in the USA. MSRP $31.45-$49.00. For more information, visit online at: grovtec.com

New from Inland/MKS: a .30 caliber pistol
Inland Manufacturing has announced the arrival of the Advisor, an M1-carbine handgun which is being marketed by MKS Supply, LLC. This new all-American-made handgun is a legal chopped and shortened version of Inland’s also-new M1 carbine. At a compact 21 inches overall, the Advisor is inspired by the field-modified chopped carbines of the Vietnam War, when they were reportedly used by some Special Forces units and tunnel rats because they held more ammunition than a 1911 or .38. The Advisor is fitted with original military-type sights and a reproduction of the rare and highly-collectable (original type) low wood walnut stock (a tight fit between the upper hand guard and the forearm). The 12-inch barrel is topped off with an original military-style flash hider. The barrel thread measures .5 x 28, so a properly registered aftermarket sound suppressor can be fitted, if desired. Each Advisor comes with a military-style cloth sling and one 15-round magazine, but will also accept both 10- and 30-round military magazines. The Inland 4.5 pound Advisor should prove to be every bit as fun and reliable as the standard stocked and paratrooper model carbines. Availability will begin in March of 2016 but orders are being reserved currently. MSRP is $1,239. The Inland Advisor Carbine models, and some other pretty cool guns, will be on exhibit at SHOT Show booth 16144. Or you can contact MKS Supply, LLC, Dept. TGM, 8611-A North Dixie Dr., Dayton, OH 45414; phone: 937-454-0363; online: mkssupply.com, for the name of your nearest retailer. Note: The Advisor is not legal in California.
