Fans of the Ruger Mark IV semi-auto pistol take note: Turnbull Restoration is now offering a handsome version of this newest in the line handgun with some extra features inside and out.
For openers, according to a news release, Turnbull is offering the gun as part of its Finished Line, which is a series of “historically significant and beloved firearms.”
The Mark IV Ruger, introduced last year, has garnered a quick following with its simple one-button takedown that makes disassembly and cleaning a snap. TGM Senior Editor Dave Workman was so impressed with the factory target model that he bought the pistol Ruger sent for test and evaluation last fall.
The Turnbull Ruger Mark IV features the company’s unique case coloring on the receiver and barrel, with optional target quality wood grips that wrap around the front of the frame, and feature finger grooves. Another option is a threaded barrel with ½”-28 threads to accept a suppressor.
Turnbull’s basic Finished Line pistol has a 5½-inch target bull barrel. Barrels are inscribed with “Turning Bull” on the right side, and the pistols are chambered for .22 Long Rifle. They come with two magazines.
The trigger and other controls are factory blued, according to a press release, and the pistol features an adjustable rear sight.
According to Turnbull, the MSRP on this pistol is $595 for the base model, with the grips costing $50 and the threaded barrel another $150.
“Starting with the first Ruger Mark I to roll off the line, this pistol has been an American classic,” said CEO and founder Doug Turnbull. “Since our first special edition we have sought to improve on Ruger’s amazing target pistol by adding the Turnbull touch. That is our intent with the Finished Line – to take new production of these beloved firearms and make them heirloom quality.”
