Leupold & Stevens, Inc., has announced the launch of its new BX-4 Range HD TBR/W Gen 2 rangefinding binocular.
An evolution of the award-winning original, the BX-4 Range HD Gen 2 delivers improved ranging performance and industry-leading light transmission, color purity, and edge-to-edge clarity. Available in 10×42 and 12×50 configurations, it’s a best-in-class rangefinding binocular, according to a company release.
“The original BX-4 Range HD combined the industry’s fastest ranging solution with class-leading optical performance,” said Eric Overstreet, Technology Product Line Manager for Leupold & Stevens, Inc. “With the Gen 2, we’ve upgraded nearly every single facet of the product. You’re getting improved optics, greater ranging distance, and the addition of some of our game-changing features.”
The BX-4 Range HD Gen 2 is built around Leupold’s Elite Optical System, which delivers superior dawn-to-dusk light transmission, elite level glare reduction, and the resolution diehard hunters and shooters demand. In side-by-side comparisons, the Gen 2 separates itself from the competition, especially in low light, where other rangefinding binoculars fall short.
Leupold’s True Ballistic Range/Wind (TBR/W) technology delivers a ballistic solution you can trust when it counts. Choose from 25 ballistic groups to match your cartridge, then let TBR/W calculate the true, angle-compensated range of your target, making it the perfect companion for Leupold’s Custom Dial System (CDS). Hold-over values are available in both MOA and MIL, and TBR/W provides wind holds for a 10-mph crosswind. It’s everything you need for more first-shot hits.
The BX-4 Range HD Gen 2 now features Archer’s Advantage, making it an essential tool for serious bowhunters and competitive 3D archers alike. Just like TBR/W does for rifle shooters, Archer’s Advantage delivers angle-compensated shoot-to distances and is completely customized—once you enter your bow’s velocity, peep height, and arrow weight, the software produces precise shoot-to ranges that are customized to your setup.
“Bows are custom-built to suit their owner, so your archery rangefinder should be, too,” Overstreet said. “The BX-4 Range HD Gen 2 carries over the Archer’s Advantage software from our RX-FullDraw line of rangefinders. With it, you get a rangefinding binocular that’s right at home in the kit of even the most diehard bowhunter. Archer’s Advantage is customized to the shooter–you aren’t going to find better archery ballistics, anywhere.”
New easy-grip button standoffs make it fast and intuitive to activate the BX-4 Range HD Gen 2, even with heavy gloves. And like the original, the ranging function can be configured to fire from the left-hand button, if desired. Also new are three interchangeable Form-Fit eyecups for a customized, comfortable fit.
The BX-4 Range HD Gen 2 ranges reflective targets out to 4,000 yards, trees to 2,200 yards, and deer-sized game to 1,400 yards. Built for the harshest conditions, it’s waterproof, fogproof, and tested to perform in extreme climates.
