Fox News has reported that Republican congressional candidate Marjorie Greene, running in the state’s 14th District, has accused Facebook of censorship because her campaign video showed her holding a semiautomatic rifle.
In her message, Greene issues a warning to Antifa to “stay the hell out of northwest Georgia,” Fox said.
Greene is a businesswoman running against at least eight other candidates including former prosecutor Clayton Fuller, former state School Supt. John Barge, neurosurgeon John Cowan, State Rep. Kevin Cooke, former lawmaker Bill Hembree, Air Force veteran Ben Bullock, and two other citizens identified as Matt Laughridge and Andy Gunther.
Greene reportedly accused Facebook of practicing a “double-standard” by allegedly allowing Antifa to “organize terrorist attacks on America.” She accused the social media giant of censoring conservatives.
Facebook sent a statement to Fox News, standing by its decision. According to Facebook, the Greene ad “advocates the use of deadly weapons against a clearly defined group of people…violating our policies against inciting violence.”
