Cimarron Firearms, a leading manufacturer of authentic firearms reproduction, is proud to announce the re-release of their improved “Terminator,” an 1887 lever action shotgun which pays homage to the iconic Winchester Model 1887, a piece of American history renowned for its reliability and performance.
Designed by legendary firearms designer John Browning for the Winchester Repeating Arms Company, the original model Winchester 1887 shotgun was a breech-loading, rolling block lever-action. It was originally available in 10- and 12-gauge models with a standard 30” barrel.
Before Schwarzenegger’s notorious handling of the 1887 shotgun in the Terminator movie, the 1887 shotgun was famously carried by Arizona Sheriff John Slaughter. It was also issued to the Denver and Rio Grande Railroad messengers.
“We are thrilled to unveil a higher quality version of The Terminator, our homage to the timeless Winchester Model 1887,” said Bryce Wayt, VP of Operations for Cimarron Firearms. “With the popularity of lever-action guns hitting an all-time high right now, what better way to combine a historic model with a little Hollywood credit.”
Cimarron’s Terminator is designed from an original 1887 in the Cimarron collection. Cimarron’s Terminator 1887 lever-action shotguns are available in either a 20,” 22,” or 28” round blued barrel, a blued receiver, and the 12-gauge is capable of handling 2 ¾” shotshells. MSRP is $622.70.
