Ruger adds new 22 Charger Pistol Models

Sturm, Ruger has announced the addition of new polymer stock models to the recently re-engineered 22 Charger™ and 22 Charger Takedown pistol lines. First introduced in 2007, and re-engineered in 2014, the Charger pistol family is built on the Ruger® 10/22® platform. Weighing just 3.1 pounds, the polymer stock 22 Charger pistol is otherwise identical to the laminate-stock model. It has an overall length of 19.25 inches and features a 10-inch precision-rifled, threaded barrel with a 1/2”-28 thread pattern which accepts most popular muzzle accessories. The new stock is paired with a standard A2-style pistol grip, making the platform easy to customize with the MSR grip of your choice. The matte black receiver features a factory-installed Picatinny rail, providing ample space for a variety of optics, from scopes to red-dot sights. The new polymer stock 22 Charger Takedown model (shown) weighs 3.2 pounds, retains all the features of the standard model and also includes the very popular takedown feature found on the full-sized 10/22 Takedown^® rifle. This feature allows the pistol to be taken down quickly and easily by simply pushing the takedown lever, twisting the subassemblies and pulling them apart. The polymer stock 22 Charger Takedown pistol comes in a custom hard case for easy transport to the range. Models ship with either the BX-1, 10-round magazine or the BX-15^® magazine, a 15-round version of the BX-25^® magazine, which is the perfect height when shooting with the included bipod from either the prone position or from a bench. The BX-15 is compatible with all factory original 10/22 rifles, SR-22^® rifles, 22 Charger pistols, .22 LR Ruger American Rimfire^® rifles and .22 LR Ruger 77/22^® rifles.
