Oklahoma Gov. Mary Fallin has signed the Switchblade Carry Ban repeal legislation, HB1911, according to Knife Rights, the group that championed this measure in the Sooner State.
A bulletin from Knife Rights noted that the repeal takes effect Nov. 1. This makes Oklahoma the ninth state to repeal bans on so-called switchblade knives, and the second one this year. Maine also repealed its ban in April, the group reported.
Also in Oklahoma, the group is pushing for a statewide preemption knife law, House Bill 1460. That measure was back in the House for a concurrence vote, which the group expected to happen quickly.
