Trump Wins the Electoral College and the Popular Vote
What Happened?
COMMENTARY: Could the mainstream media genuinely believe the American people would anoint Kamala Harris as the next POTUS?
The major TV networks, except for Fox News, were an echo chamber for the Democrat Party’s press releases, their non-ending attacks on Trump, and their woke propaganda; they were convinced they must be correct. Here we are six days later, and they are still trying to justify, understand, or make sense of what happened. But it is straightforward. We have been fed nonsense by the political media complex for almost eight years. Finally, the American people looked around and saw that the price of butter had doubled, our Southern border was not a border, and they knew all those pronouncements were lies.
A vignette of what happened on Long Island on Sept. 19, explains why most Americans voted for Donald J. Trump on Nov. 5. On Sept. 19, I got a picture from my sister-in-law. She is married to my brother, a Vietnam-era U.S. Army pilot and a well-respected retired public relations executive. They have lived and worked in the New York City area for over 40 years. Her picture was of my brother and her at what looked to be a large outdoor gathering. The text messages read:
TKM: Where are you?
Brother’s wife: At the Trump Rally!
TKM: Never expected you to go to a Trump Rally.
Brother’s wife: I always wanted to go! We love Trump!!
TKM: How many people are there?
Brother’s wife: Oh my gosh!! They said way over 60,000. We didn’t get in yet and not sure we will. There are about 20,000 people waiting in line outside. It’s packed! We have been in line for four hours so far.
TKM: WOW! That’s amazing in Nassau County, NY.
Brother’s wife: And we walked two miles to get here. All the parking was taken.
The takeaway is that two suburban New Yorkers walked more than two miles to get to the Nassau Coliseum, waited over four hours to get in, finally found two of the last seats high in the nosebleed section right before Trump arrived, and enjoyed the adventure immensely. So, what was my brother’s main takeaway from his adventure? He was amazed at the friendliness and happiness of his fellow attendees, who came from every walk of life. As he put it, it was joyful. During their four-hour wait, everyone was friendly and happy to be there.
The American people, whether they lived in Nassau County, NY, or Nassau County, FL; Springfield, MO; or Springfield, OR, were looking for financial stability, freedom, and no more wars. Trump offered that. The Biden-Harris administration and campaign provided none of that. They forced and threatened people to take an untested vaccine while promoting abortion on demand. This administration believed that guns in public places were criminal while letting violent criminals invade our country and then rape, murder, and pillage its citizens. This was an administration that was so out of touch with the American people that they supported men in women’s restrooms and tampons in boys’ restrooms.
It had gotten out of hand. Americans finally said no and voted overwhelmingly for Trump. The media, the wokeness, and Kamala Harris’ campaign be damned!
The Gun Vote and the 2024 Election
We have followed the election in the state of Montana
On June 12, we reviewed Montana’s elections for Governor and U.S. Senator and noted how critical they are to the Second Amendment. We told you aboutthe current Governor, Republican Greg Gianforte, who signed HB258, allowing concealed firearms to be carried without a permit, and tweeted: “Today, I proudly signed Rep. Hinkle’s law prohibiting federal overreach into our Second Amendment-protected rights, including any federal ban on firearms.”
His opponent, Ryan Busse (D), acknowledges he was a former firearms industry executive but never mentioned his involvement as a former lobbyist for Giffords, the anti-Second Amendment lobbying and political action group, or that several state governments paid him to help support their gun laws in court. Now that he is running for public office, he says, “I’m not proposing or running on any gun issues.”
The U.S. Senate race pits incumbent Senator Jon Tester (D) against challenger Tim Sheehy (R). According to Ammoland, on June 7, he announced that the Brady PAC, which he called “a group of generous donors,”was matching all donations to Sheehy’s campaign.
On Nov. 5, Montanans rejected Kamala Harris by 58.5% to 38%, re-elected Gov. Gianforte by almost 60%, and made Tim Sheehy the U.S. Senator-elect with 53% of the vote.
Legislation — City & State
Ohio: City of Canton: For the past 16 years, the City of Canton has banned carrying a firearm in a public park, violating Ohio’s preemption law. Canton resident Daniel Gates pointed out that the ordinance contradicted state law. On Oct. 22, the Canton Park Commission voted to remove the gun restriction in parks.
