Anti-gun billionaire Michael Bloomberg’s Everytown for Gun Safety is calling on gun prohibitionists to pressure confirmation of Judge Ketanji Brown Jackson to the U.S. Supreme Court, stating, “We need someone on the Supreme Court who understands the importance of gun safety.”
There has been no indication Judge Jackson is a gun owner, much less a firearms safety instructor.
Still, the Everytown email insists, “Judge Jackson is incredibly qualified for this role…”
A few lines later, Everytown states, “And as President Joe Biden’s nominee, we have no doubt Judge Jackson will understand that reasonable gun safety measures are constitutional. Her confirmation is incredibly important to the future of our movement—especially with more gun safety cases coming before the courts and with more gun violence devastating our communities.”
Hearings on Judge Jackson’s confirmation opened Monday before the Senate Judiciary Committee.
