New from Pachmayr for 2019 is the GuardianGrip, with a patented finger extension, for handguns, and additions to their line of speedloaders. In addition, the company will be offering a new Tactical Grip Glove for use with the Mossberg Shockwave and Remington TAC-14. Both of those smoothbores can be a handful, and the Tactical Grip Glove is designed to slip onto the grip of these firearms to reduce felt recoil and offer better control.
The GuardianGrip activates with the press of a button to extend the finger extension, lengthening the grip to accommodate three fingers instead of just two.
The new speedloaders are precision CNC machined from solid aluminum and the newest models this year are for .44-magnum revolvers including the Smith & Wesson Model 29 and 629, Ruger Redhawk and Super Redhawk, Colt Anaconda and Taurus revolvers.
Lyman has announced the addition of a No. 2 tang sight for the popular Henry lever-action rifle lineup. This folding tang sight is made from steel: It has elevation locking sleeves and apertures for both hunting and target shooting. It will fit the Big Boy, Big Boy Carbine and Big Boy Silver models All Weather models.
In the clothing arena, the Austrian-based Jagdhund will be showing new stylish hunting clothing for men and women. In the men’s lineup is the Zwettl 4 multifunctional jacket and Alpin 4 Loden pants. The jacket is a lightweight model with six external and two internal pockets, plus a chin protector and thermal lining.
There are also updated Alpin 4 Loden pants with integrated gaiter solution, two slot pockets and a knife pocket.
For women, Jagdhund has announced the Wildspitz loden jacket with two internal and two external pockets. It has a two-way zip and thermal lining. Also for women are the Eisenstein Loden pants with integrated gaiter solution and two zip pockets plus an integrated knife pocket.
The new Tasmanian Tiger product line is making its debut, marketed by Proforce Equipment. The top-opening Modular Pack 45 is a roomy model with hook-and-loop panels inside that allow the user to customize the interior. There’s also a removable folded pocket on the front and the main compartment can be extended.
This backpack weighs 92 ounces, measures 26x11x9 inches and is available in black, olive, coyote or “multicam.” It has a removable hip belt that can be used separately, and laser-cut MOLLE for additional gear attachments. It is made from Cordura 700 denier, except for the multicam model, which is 500 denier.
There’s a new magnetic device for carrying a concealed handgun called the MagneCarry that is both lightweight and unobtrusive.
The MagneCarry debuted in December, and features a canvas covered magnet that attaches to a belt. It can also be carried in a pocket.
This clever carry device measures less than 8 inches in length and adds minimum weight. The sidearm is held securely in place and will not move.
Browning is expanding its line of USB rechargeable flashlights to include the Highnoon Pro 1000 USB Rechargeable spotlight with power bank. It has a wide angle white LED that can light up quite a range and it operates in several modes.
In addition, Browning has a new Rumble USB rechargeable lantern with an LED and a rubberized coating. The new Night Gig headlamp has wide-angle technology and can beam out to 25 yards.
There are also new safes from Browning, including the Rawhide models with 11-gauge steel body, Pry-stop end bolts and 1-inch diameter chromed locking bolts on three sides.
The Black Label Mark IV Stars & Stripes model has a 1 11/16-inch thick door, Axis adjustable interior and matte black finish.
The Hell’s Canyon HC model is big enough to hold 65 long guns and features Pru-Stop end bolts and 1.25-inch chromed locking bolts on three sides.
